Phillips-Hill: Senate Votes to Drive Funds to Students, Nonprofits and Vulnerable Communities Without Tax Hikes

HARRISBURG – Sen. Kristin Phillips-Hill (R-York) voted today for a fiscally responsible budget plan that respects taxpayers, meets core needs, and ensures critical funding reaches schools, nonprofits, and vulnerable citizens while work continues to reach a final agreement.

“Gov. Josh Shapiro and House Democrats continue to push for more spending yet are quick to forget who signs the front of the check – the hardworking taxpayers,” Phillips-Hill said. “Spending above and beyond our taxpayers’ means will result in future tax hikes. This measure is a reasonable and responsible way forward to fund students, nonprofits, and other vulnerable communities across our Commonwealth.”
