Senate Adds Searchable Session Video to General Assembly Website

HARRISBURG – Video from past Senate session days is now available on the General Assembly’s website for the first time ever, Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill (R-York) announced today.

“Pennsylvanians deserve transparency from their government and making it even easier for the public to follow the Senate’s actions is a big step forward,” Phillips-Hill said, who serves on the Legislative Data Processing Committee. “Our constituents have been able to watch Senate session via streaming live video and PCN for many years, but building an easy-to-use library of Senate floor proceedings adds an important level of new transparency.”

Session videos are available back to the first date of the 2025-26 legislative session, Jan. 7, 2025. Using tools available on the website, viewers can easily navigate the videos to find items of interest, including debates and votes on specific bills.

The videos can be viewed by visiting the Senate Session page, scrolling down to the calendar of session days and choosing a date.

The Legislative Data Processing Committee oversees the Legislative Data Processing Center, which created and maintains the General Assembly’s website. Other Senate resources available on the website include live streaming video on session days; members of the Senate; session calendars; co-sponsorship memos; bill information; roll call votes; Senate Journals, which serve as the official record of Senate floor activity; the committee meeting schedule, including links to streaming video; committee votes; executive nominations and historical biographies.
