Our mobile office hours are back for 2025! These sessions provide a convenient way for you to access state services right in your backyard. Whether you need assistance with PennDOT forms, Property Tax/Rent Rebate applications, notary services, or other state-related concerns, my team is here to help. We’ve already announced our full schedule for the year, so be sure to check it out here. Thank you to the staff of Hanover Borough for hosting Rep. Kate Klunk and me to explore several redevelopment projects. From addressing parking challenges and enhancing walkability downtown to upgrading parks and community facilities, Hanover is making strides to improve the quality of life for citizens. Last week, I attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for WellSpan Health York Hospital’s newly expanded Behavioral Health Unit. Thanks to a historic $2.4 million donation from John and Maria Polli, this milestone represents a significant step forward in improving access to mental health care for our community. I recently joined the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials (PASBO) at York County School of Technology for an insightful panel discussion alongside other legislative members. It was a privilege to engage with education leaders and advocates from across York County to discuss how we balance the needs of our students with the respect of our hardworking taxpayers. These conversations are invaluable as we strive to support our students, schools, and taxpayers with meaningful and sustainable solutions. Thank you to PASBO for organizing this important event and to everyone who participated in the discussion. 109th Pennsylvania Farm Show: “Powering Pennsylvania”
As a state where agriculture is a cornerstone of our economy, Pennsylvania is proud to host the nation’s largest indoor agricultural exposition. The 109th Pennsylvania Farm Show will take place from Jan. 4 to 11, 2025, at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg. This year’s theme, “Powering Pennsylvania,” highlights agriculture’s vital role in fueling our communities and economy. The Farm Show will feature nearly 6,000 animals and more than 10,000 exhibits, showcasing the diversity and innovation within our agricultural sector. Of course, no trip to the Farm Show would be complete without a stop at the Food Court to try the famed milkshakes! Agriculture in Pennsylvania employs nearly half a million people and contributes $132.5 billion to the state’s economy annually. The Farm Show is a celebration of this vital industry and an opportunity for all Pennsylvanians to engage with the people and practices that power our state.
