State grant to help with downtown improvementsI want to share some exciting news: Wrightsville Borough will receive a $1 million grant from the state’s Commonwealth Financing Authority! These grants were awarded across the state based on the strength of each municipality’s application. Wrightsville Borough was one of the very few municipalities that received a grant award. This funding will be used for a major revitalization of Riverfront Park to improve the traffic flow around Front Street to make it safer for pedestrians and motorists. The funding will also be used to upgrade storm water management. The credit goes to Mayor Albert and the members of Borough Council, including Council Members White, Gromling, McDonald, Kirkessner, Bair and Smith. I was proud to support this project, and I am grateful that the Commonwealth Financing Authority saw the value of this application as well. You can learn more about this project here. |
