State grant to help with downtown improvements

I want to share some exciting news: Delta Borough will receive a $426,885 grant from the state’s Commonwealth Financing Authority!

These grants were awarded across the state based on the strength of each municipality’s application. Delta Borough was one of the very few municipalities that received a grant award.

This funding will go a long way to rehabilitate the streetscape, including updating curbs, sidewalks, signaling and lighting along Main Street between Chapel Street and Broad Street.

The credit goes to Mayor Jones and the members of Borough Council, including Council Members Moul, Laferte, Emmel, Lutters, Magnifico, and Seibel.

I was proud to support this project, and I am grateful that the Commonwealth Financing Authority saw the value of this application as well.

You can learn more about this project here.
