RED LION – Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill (R-York) announced today that the Red Lion Area Ambulance Association will receive a $100,000 loan to assist in the purchase of a new ambulance through the state’s Volunteer Loan Assistance Program (VLAP).
The loan will go towards the purchase of a 2019 Ford F-550 Life Line Superliner Type 1 Ambulance, which replaces a 2009 Ford F-450 Braun Ambulance.
“This loan will provide our local first responders with the kind of reliable, state-of-the-art equipment they need to save lives,” Phillips-Hill said. “I’m grateful the VLAP board awarded this low-interest loan to allow Red Lion to replace an older ambulance.”
VLAP provides loans at two percent interest to volunteer fire companies and EMS providers across the commonwealth.
